It is with profound sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of Sarah B. Stoltzfus, 34, of Long Run Road, Mill Hall, who tragically died on Sunday, April 19, following a devastating house fire at her home. She was a devoted member of the Old Order Amish Church, known within her community for her faith, humility, and dedication to her family.
Tragically, Sarah also passed away alongside her six beloved children: Andrew Stoltzfus, 11; Benji Stoltzfus, 10; Susie Stoltzfus, 8; Barbie Stoltzfus, 6; Michael Stoltzfus, 5; and James Stoltzfus, 2. Their sudden and heartbreaking loss has left an immeasurable void in the lives of their family, friends, and community.
Sarah was the wife of David F. Stoltzfus, who survives her. The family is receiving support from loved ones and the wider community during this extremely difficult time. The depth of this tragedy is beyond words, as an entire household has been deeply affected in an instant.
Sarah will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, and faithful member of her church community. Her life was centred around care, service, and commitment to her children and family. Those who knew her speak of her gentle nature, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Her children will be remembered as bright, innocent lives full of potential and joy, cherished deeply within their family and community. The collective loss of Sarah and her children is felt not only by relatives but by all who are mourning this tragedy.
Arrangements for visitation and burial are being respectfully handled by Gedon Funeral Home, in accordance with the family’s wishes and traditions.
We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to David F. Stoltzfus, extended family members, friends, and the Old Order Amish community. May they find strength, comfort, and support in one another during this time of unimaginable grief.
Sarah and her children will be remembered with love, sorrow, and enduring respect.
