With the kind permission of the family, we share the passing of Gail Sinclair Bruce, who died peacefully at Roxburghe House on Saturday, 18th April, surrounded by those who loved her most. Gail faced a long illness with courage, dignity, and quiet strength, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Gail was a devoted and dearly loved wife to Ian Bruce, and a much-loved mother to Brian and Sara. She was also a caring and supportive mother-in-law to Katy. Her role within her family extended further as an adored stepmother to Ian, Holly, and Brent, offering kindness, guidance, and unwavering support. Gail’s love continued through the generations as a proud and greatly loved grandmother to Nealla, Molly, Harry, Coan, and Stella, each of whom brought her immense joy.
Beyond her family, Gail was a valued friend to many. She will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and the genuine care she showed to others. Her presence brought comfort and reassurance, and she built meaningful connections that will not be forgotten. Those who had the privilege of knowing her will remember her not only for her strength in the face of illness, but also for the kindness and grace she showed throughout her life.
Gail’s passing is deeply felt by her family and friends, and she will be remembered with great love and respect. Her life, defined by devotion to those around her, leaves a lasting legacy that will continue to be cherished.
In accordance with Gail’s wishes, the funeral will be private.
