It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Marilyn Bagniewski, who died peacefully last night.
Marilyn lived a life defined by hard work, resilience, and dedication to her family. Together with her husband, Bob, she raised seven children in a modest two-bedroom home located across from the tavern they owned. Despite limited means, she created a home centered on care, stability, and strong family values. She also played an important role in helping raise her grandchildren, offering support and guidance while her daughter worked.
Born and raised on a farm, Marilyn carried with her a lifelong appreciation for education and the values instilled by her mother. She took pride in her Norwegian heritage and often shared family stories that reflected her upbringing and cultural background.
Following the passing of her husband more than three decades ago, Marilyn continued to demonstrate strength and independence. She worked at a local college as a cafeteria employee and remained deeply committed to her family. Known for her attention to detail, she maintained her home with great care and took pride in creating a welcoming environment for family gatherings.
Marilyn was known for her vibrant personality and love of simple joys, including music, television, and card games with family. She placed great importance on holidays and traditions, often ensuring that her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were thoughtfully remembered.
In later years, she reconnected with a former high school acquaintance, Truman Everson, and enjoyed companionship in retirement.
Marilyn remained closely connected with her family throughout her life, maintaining regular communication and cherishing time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her dedication to family, her strong work ethic, and the lasting impact she had on those around her.
