It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Austin Bedoy at the age of 37. Austin was a graduate of Clark High School, Class of 2005, remembered by those who knew him as a humble, sincere, and thoughtful young man with many hopes for the future. His life was tragically cut short following an accident.
Austin attended school with Josh Garcia and maintained connections within his community over the years. In his final days, he participated in a Temple Builders Bible Study on Thursday evening, where he made a sincere and meaningful personal commitment. Recently, he had developed a strong interest in Hebrew studies and expressed a genuine desire to deepen his understanding of his Messianic faith. He also met with Rabbi Roy to discuss his spiritual journey and his intention to pursue it with dedication and purpose.
Those who knew Austin remember him most clearly for his quiet generosity and compassion toward others. On one occasion, while at a gathering, a woman approached Rabbi Roy seeking assistance with bus fare. Austin, standing nearby, immediately offered to help without hesitation. When told he could assist but would need to retrieve funds from his office, Austin responded, “I will help her.” He then gave her the last twenty dollars he had. After she left, when asked if he had any money remaining, he simply smiled and said no. This act reflected his selflessness and willingness to place the needs of others before his own.
Austin’s actions consistently demonstrated kindness, humility, and a quiet but genuine faith. He touched the lives of those around him in meaningful ways, often through simple yet powerful gestures of care.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 28th at 6:30 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
