Bryson Allen Shepherd Gainesville, FL Death-Obituary: Bryson Allen Shepherd, Beloved Son and Brother, Dies at 14

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bryson Allen Shepherd, age 14, who passed away on April 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, kindness, joy, and the cherished title of “Yoshu.”

Born on February 29, 2012, in Gainesville, Florida, Bryson was a bright and energetic young soul who brought happiness wherever he went. He had a remarkable ability to make others smile, often through his laughter, playful spirit, and caring nature. Bryson lived life with enthusiasm and curiosity, embracing every moment with joy and sincerity.

He had many passions that shaped his vibrant personality. Bryson loved Karate, reading book series such as Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, solving puzzles, and reading the Bible. He enjoyed a wide range of sports including basketball, football, and soccer, and was always active—whether dancing, riding bikes with family, or enjoying four-wheeler rides. He also loved traveling, family movie and game nights, and was known for his helpful nature, intelligence, and constant smile. One of his simple joys was caramel milk, which he absolutely loved. As he grew older, Bryson dreamed of becoming a Pastor and a Construction Worker.

Bryson is survived by his loving mother, Debra Good; his sisters, Brittany Shepherd and Briehannah Shepherd; his great-grandmother, Jo-Ellen Good; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and close friends who will forever treasure his memory and the light he brought into their lives.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather George W. Good and great-great-grandfather Forrest Parsons.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at McCrabb Independent Baptist Church.

Though Bryson is no longer physically with us, his spirit, love, and laughter will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him. As it is said, what we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose, for all that we love becomes part of us.
